DRYWOOD TERMITE SWARMING SEASON IS UPON US!
Drywood termite swarming usually occurs in the evening and nighttime hours from late spring through the summer. The swarmers are light brown in color and have wings that are longer than the body of the termite.
As a structural pest drywood termites can be found in almost any wood in, on or under a structure. They are also commonly found in items such as but not limited to: furniture, picture frames, tool handles and miscellaneous wood items. Early detection of drywood termites in a structure can often times minimize the treatment procedures necessary to control the infestation however, more extensive infestations may result in tent fumigating the structure to control the infestation.
